Great Law, The
"The Body of Laws of the Province of Pennsylvania and Territories thereunto belonging, Past at an Assembly held at Chester alias Upland, the 7th day of the tenth month, called 'December,' 1682." This was the first code of laws established in Pennsylvania, and is justly celebrated for the provision in its first chapter for liberty of conscience
